One strike and you're out. Proving that your primary business is interactive digital media development.

Posted on Sep 13, 2011

A company can receive a registration number for the BC IDMTC only if it’s “principle business” is developing interactive digital media products.

It’s not enough that your financial reports (revenue and expenses by project) support this. Other items will be reviewed to determine that your principle business is developing IDM: your company website, your business plan, a detailed description of products from the application, the skills of people employed and the hours contributed by people working on the IDM projects relative to others that work there. In other words, even if you think that your principle business is the development of interactive digital media products, the Ministry of Finance may not agree.
